Pals: Women, & Grenades ~ J. Angelo Greco III

Pals: Women, & GrenadesPals: Women, & Grenades by J. Angelo Greco III
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

PALS is filled with action and suspense. Greco really displayed what a true friendship means with his two main characters Joe and David. It shows how two guys from different backgrounds and cultures become more than best friends they are PALS (as the title implies). This novel for the most part was pretty good. The beginning to me was a little slow, but of course in this type of story you really have to get the background information laid down. The reader has to know how the two main characters became so close as friends in order to understand why they reacted the way they do to certain situations brought to them in their adult life.

Greco does good job midway through the novel introduces key players in the plot. I especially like how he combines stories from Joe and David's past into the ever growing mystery of a plot he develops. PALS was a pretty easy read, kind of slow in the beginning; but the reader needs to stick with it, the novel picks up and then it shoots off with lots of action, drama, and piece by piece an ever growing friendship.

Summary: Killing Kennedy: The End of Camelot ~ Bill O'Reilly

Summary: Killing Kennedy: The End of Camelot -- Bill O'ReillySummary: Killing Kennedy: The End of Camelot -- Bill O'Reilly by Save Time Summaries
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I must say this summary started off really slow. I am normally not into documentary/historical reading. Killing Kennedy started picking up some stamina with me when O'Reilly brought in mentioning of Kennedy's wife and brother; oh and possible ties with the mafia. Who knew the Kennedy's life was a huge movie waiting to be put together with Oswald being the evil character of the story.

O'Reilly via this summary gives the reader enough hints and clues to Kennedy's lifestyle leading up to his death to make the reader want more. Intriguing is how this book would be describe. Kennedy, although he was the President, his family (himself included) were celebrities. And we know how we treat celebrities in America, we want to know it all. This summary teases the reader enough to encourage the to "Want to Know it All."

Raven: Birds of Flight ~ J. M. Erikson

Raven: Birds of Flight - Book TwoRaven: Birds of Flight - Book Two by J M Erickson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

J.M. Erikson, brought it in the second installment of Alex and clan. I thoroughly enjoyed the band of misfits in the first book, but Erickson develops there characters well beyond my imagination in this second book. An amazing action filled novel that continues the storyline from book one and takes it above and beyond. If you have not read book one you are doing yourself an injustice and will get lost. Read the first one and hurry up and read this novel, the second installment.

Erickson brought out the best and worst in the characters in Raven. There is no predicting the story in my opinion, Erickson does a superb job of keeping the reader on their toes. It was hard for me to put the novel down, only taking time out to catch a quick nap and then I was back to reading. You stay on the edge of your seat wanting to know the outcome. Terrific book, cannot wait for the next novel authored by Erickson.

The Publicist ~ Christina George

The Publicist (Book One)The Publicist by Christina George
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Upon deciding to read The Publicist I did not know what to expect. I was presently surprised how the book just flows. Literally I could not put it down, knocked it out the span of two and a half hours. George did her thing, she gave us a glimpse into the world of a publicist. Who knew how multi-talented one has to be just to get an author published, out to the masses and not to mention dealing with their egos and the competition of other publicists. It is a dog eat dog world.

George gives us comedy, drama, a realness within this novel. It is not a short story but just long enough for some comfortable reading with a simple plot that grasps you just enough to keep you wanting to know more. I am very delighted to know that George is making a part two. There are so many story lines that can be explored. If a quick read with bits of drama/comedy/romance is what you need, do not sleep on Christina George's novel "The Publicist."

On the Edge of Humanity ~ S.B. Alexander

On the Edge of HumanityOn the Edge of Humanity by S.B. Alexander
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

On the Edge of Humanity is a paranormal young adult fictional that displays all the typical growing pains of being a teenager but with a twist. Alexander brings tons of twists and turns with the many characters involved. The main character, Jo is a growing teen who happens to be a twin. Among normal teen issues such a puberty, she has abandonment issues as well as authority issues. I was surprised and pleasantly happy that Alexander stayed away from the "Woe is Me" stereotypical plot that is normal found with young adult novels. Jo's character evolves in more ways than one.

Alexander does an excellent job in giving the reader real drama, action, and hormones in On the Edge of Humanity. How can you go wrong bring vampires and navy seals together? The plot will never get boring that's for sure. I will definitely be reading Book 2 of these series.

Tickle Me ~ Monica Bouvier

Tickle MeTickle Me by Monica Bouvier
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Monica Bouvier surprised me in the novel "Tickle Me" with many elements that I would not have associated in an erotic fiction. Bouvier's characters are well developed and as a reader you really have to pay attention to this plot from beginning to end to get the full concept. Tickle Me was a good novel and kept me mildly interested. This novel reads kind of like a soap opera, there is drama, sex, intimacy backstabbing and a sense of feeling that all is not well with the office workers. I did quite enjoy how Bouvier included office politics within the story line it made the story have a more realistic feel to it. At points the reader could identify with the main character Alice and who hasn't had or wanted a tough/bad "A" friend like Patty. I reiterate the character setup was superb.

Although I thought the novel was entirely too long for the plot, it was not a bad read and I would venture into reading some more of Bouvier's works.Tickle Me put a definite spin on erotic fiction and was very well rounded novel despite the wordiness.
