The Disappearance of E.A.B. ~ Gwen E. Campbell

The Disapperance of E.A.B.The Disapperance of E.A.B. by Gwen E. Campbell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Gwen E Cambpell's Disappearance of E.A.B was a great story. The main character Anne had to pull strength from her inner core to deal with her upbringing and her future. As always Campbell has a unique way of pulling the reader fully into the life of the characters; in a sense it's like you become a part of the story and not a some on the outside looking in. The Disappearance of EAB brings you drama, adventure and mystery. It did start a little slow but trust me when I say that beginning portion is well needed to understand the end. Stick it out it's well worth the read.

Purse'averencePurse'averence by Gwen E. Campbell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I thoroughly enjoyed Purse'averance by Gwen E. Campbell. Who knew accessories had emotions, opinions and so much drama. This short sweet novel is full of drama and action as we take a look into the life of a purse from conception to the end. I absolutely thought this story was adorable. The relationships that the accessories formed were so life-like and believable. It kind of makes you look at your clothing and accessories differently LOL. As I've stated before this is a short read but well worth getting into if you wish to just relax and enjoy a good storyline. Awesome job to the recently departed Gwen Campbell.

Taming Romeo ~ Rachelle Ayala

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Taming RomeoTaming Romeo by Rachelle Ayala
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Young love, Rachelle Ayala really knows how to tell a story. "Taming Romeo" is truly a touching story about a young woman, Evie and her childhood sweet heart. What happens to the two characters as they are reintroduced into each others lives a years of separation and growth? Taming Romeo sweeps the reader away and you forget that you are reading, I personally did not want the story to end. Evie is the epitome of a young woman trying to find herself and deal with life's struggles. Romeo represents what every woman wants a bad boy with a trusting/sensitive side that will always have your back no matter what. Great job Rachelle I thoroughly enjoyed the journey.

Ghost (An Angela Masters Detective Novel) ~ Mike Worley

Ghost (An Angela Masters Detective Novel)Ghost by Mike Worley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I thoroughly enjoy the writing style of Mike Worley, a former law enforcement officer of many years. Worley shows his strengths in detail and description in this particular Angela Master's novel "Ghost." A murder that affects a community, multiple families and the over all moral of a neighborhood; Worley brought action and drama. Ghost reads like a movie script, it flows smooth like water and grabs your attention from page one.

The Angela Master's character is a strong woman in a time when women are just getting good recognition for their police work. She and her partner Jules take pride and going over every detail, leaving no stone un-turned. The dedication these two have towards the case in this neighborhood is what really drives this novel. You (the reader) will get caught up in trying to solve this mystery and looking for all of the players.

In retrospect the cover to this novel is spot on. I do not want to give any details away or spoil the novel, but the cover fits the lack of definition in the figure on the cover adds another layer of mystery.

Reborn ~ C.C. Spivey

RebornReborn by C.C. Spivey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reborn by C.C. Spivey was an incredible read. It was a historical paranormal fiction of sorts. Spivey brought us back to the time of slavery where main character Mayan, of mixed heritage, grows up in slavery. Born to a black mother with a slave owner for a father, Mayan young childhood was ripped from her. Being sold into slavery, we (the readers) take a journey on Mayan's young life filled with abuse, rape and dreams of someone coming to her rescue. Tytarion, a strong intelligent free black vampire gives Mayan a new view of life filled with adventures and drama of having a relationship.

The cover to this novel was quite impressive. The eyes are the soul of Maya. The title written in blood was a great way to portray vampirism. This was a well written novel that kept me wanting more.

Heist School Freshman ~ Alan Gallauresi

Heist School FreshmenHeist School Freshmen by Alan Gallauresi
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Heist School Freshman by Alan Gallauresi was a great read. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. Gallauresi gives the book life. The young characters friendship, trust, innocent ways to essentially commit a crime and keep it secret kept the novel going. There are no dull points in this novel. Angelo, Drew and Lionel, had a quick forming friendship that just grew into like a brotherhood. It's amazing how when you really look back on this the time frame is just one year (freshman year). Gallauresi packs so much action and intermixes it with the normal teenage troubles and trials. Among having an amazing story line about the heist you will experience first loves, bullying, friendship and camaraderie.

The cover design for this is novel is fitting. I assume this to be the main character Angelo; ordinary teenager that in a way stands out from the crowd (the hustle and bustle of everyday).

Good job Gallauresi, looking forward to more novels along the lines of this one.

How to Become Fluent in Spanish ~ John Del Gaudio

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
I took loads of Spanish courses in college so many years ago and hav always strived to speak the language fluently.  John Del Gaudio provided a few steps to help kick start my renewed spirit to brush up on my Spanish and get back in the learning seat.  The book is fairly short and gets right to the point of how to learn and retain what been discussed and reviewed.  Creating the word lists really helped and the repetitiveness made it second nature for some of the phrases I've learned.  If you have the basics of the language down; I encourage you to try Del Gaudio's method to take your learning up a notch.
